Winter Storm & Site Servicing Completion January 13, 2024

The Paramount Service teams throughout Milton and Waterdown started a full plow service within these regions as of 9pm on January 12, 2024.  Within these regions we saw anywhere from 10-12cm of snowfall which began around 7pm, the forecast was calling for mixed precipitation to begin around 10pm which took place.  The sites with the temperatures remaining above freezing turned very slushy as the temperatures raised to close to 6°C.  Sites within Milton and Waterdown were completely plowed by 2am on January 13, 2024.  A full salt service run of all properties commenced once plowing was completed.  Our teams within Burlington and Oakville started a full salt service run and some sites received a plow service to tidy up the site before salting due to the slushy snow on the properties.  Teams were performing a full salt service run within Burlington and Oakville to combat the slushy areas on properties as well to help combat the flurries with a potential of 1-3cm that could fall  during the afternoon.  Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day today.  All teams remain on standby and our snow management staff will be monitoring all sites throughout the day.  We anticipate a salt service run will be required to take place into the evening or overnight hours of January 14, 2024. The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford started a full plow service within the Hamilton Mountain and Brantford as of 1:30am on January 13, 2024.  Within these regions on January 12, 2024 started seeing mixed precipitation around 8pm.  Within these the Hamilton Mountain and Brantford we saw close to 5-10cm of snowfall.  The sites with the temperatures remaining above freezing turned very slushy as the temperatures raised to close to 6°C.  Sites within Hamilton Mountain and Brantford were completely plowed by 3am on January 13, 2024.  A full salt service run of all properties commenced once plowing was completed.  Our teams within downtown Hamilton and Stoney Creek started a full salt service run and some sites received a plow service to tidy up the site before salting due to the slushy snow on the properties as of 1:30am.  Teams were performing a full salt service run within these regions to combat the slushy areas on properties as well to help combat the flurries with a potential of 1-3cm that could fall  during the afternoon and into the early morning hours of January 14, 2024.  Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day today.  All teams remain on standby and our snow management staff will be monitoring all sites throughout the day.  We anticipate a salt service run will be required to take place into the evening or overnight hours of January 14, 2024. The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge started a full plow service 9pm on January 13, 2024.  Within these regions on January 12, 2024 started seeing snowfall around 8pm and received anywhere from 15 – 20cm during this weather episode.  Temperatures throughout these regions have remained below freezing sitting around -1 to -2°C.  A full salt service run of all properties commenced once plowing was completed.  Our teams within Kitchener, Waterloo are also facing a larger snowfall, as of 9am all sites had been fully plowed and a salt run commenced along with a secondary plow to tidy up all properties from snow that fell after initial servicing.  Within these regions there is a potential for another 5cm of snowfall during the afternoon of January 13 and into the overnight hours of January 14, 2024.  Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day today.  All teams remain on standby and our snow management staff will be monitoring all sites throughout the day.  We anticipate a salt service run will be required to take place into the evening or overnight hours of January 14, 2024.  We have an estimated completion of all sites within Kitchener and Waterloo as of 12pm on January 14, 2024.  Please check back to this site for service level updates for all regions as well as weather updates.
