Winter Storm January 25 to January 26, 2023 Update

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown will be starting a full service run as of 5pm on January 25th, 2023. Our teams have been monitoring the storm that started early afternoon on Jan 25th and is forecasted to go through to early morning on the 26th. The storm is forecasted to bring 15-20 cm across the GTA with up to 25cm in some areas in the hardest hit regions. Our plan is to start servicing all properties as of 5pm which will set us up for an overnight secondary plow and finishing with a salt run Thursday morning. Our estimated time of service will be between 5pm to 12pm the next day, this will be roughly an 18-hour shift for our teams. The late afternoon/ evening hours will be extremely hard to navigate through during these hours as the snow is slated to fall at 2cm an hour for 10 hours between 2pm and midnight. If you have the capability to stay indoors during the afternoon and evening it would be a good idea. When our teams start their routes at 6pm, they will be visiting senior’s homes, medical settings, and open businesses first. Once these are complete, they will be then focused on condos and businesses that have regular hours, finishing with any residential. We expect to be through our first run by around midnight, our second run by morning and then salting.

** UPDATE – Most of our teams started as of 5pm on January 24, 2023. Some of our teams have been stuck due to traffic even after being called in for 3pm. The road conditions have been extremely difficult for our teams to get into work with highways and roads closed. We received close to 20cm of snow in a short amount of time during the afternoon. Due to the high volume of traffic on roads and conditions of roads this slowed down most of the crews from arriving. This should not impact our teams from having sites plowed come the morning. The plan is still to have all sites taken care of with clearing by morning two times and then the teams will get into salting. We have instructed all teams to remain safe as the roads are very slippery under the large snowfall received. Once again, if you have the ability to stay home and off the roads please do so as the conditions are not great across the GTA. Please note, this slow down does not effect all regions but timing will be slower due to the conditions and amount of snow received. We appreciate your understanding and please know our teams are working hard to get to all our clients in a safe and timely manner.

Please note, if there is anything you require do not hesitate to contact the snowline at 855-906-0279 ext. 1 or [email protected]. All emails must go to the snowline for a timely response as other emails are not monitored regularly during the winter months.
