Winter Storm Completion February 3rd, 2022

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown after completing a full plow and salt service run on February 2nd into February 3rd have been sent back out to perform another salt run of all properties. This run is being performed as the sites have iced back up since the salt run after the plowing. The temperatures are well below freezing and due to the temperatures the salt can take longer to take effect so for safety this salt run was called for all sites. These areas are also seeing light flurries which are now forecasted into the early evening. Due to the compound of the snow that fell during the storm on February 2nd and with the ground temperatures being warmer it has been very hard to melt this ice. Our teams have an estimated completion of this secondary salt run as of 6pm on February 3rd, 2022. We do anticipated another salt run will have to take place overnight and early morning hours as the temperatures are reaching -15°C.
