Weather & Site Servicing December 9, 2020

Paramount Service teams for North Burlington and Waterdown were dispatched as of 5:30am to perform a salt service run.  These areas have received a trace amount of snow, the salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise with the temperatures hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark.  Temperatures are forecasted to rise throughout the day of December 9.  We have an estimated completion time of all sites as of 10am.  Residential properties will not be serviced during this run as we have not hit the 5cm threshold.

Paramount Service teams are monitoring the sites throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby during the early morning hours of December 9, 2020.  Sites within these service areas have not yet seen any snow fall but all teams are on standby should the weather change as we are still forecasted to received less than a centimeter of snow into the morning rush hour.  Please check back to this site as it will be updated should service levels change.

Paramount Service teams are monitoring the sites throughout Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and Brantford during the early morning hours of December 9, 2020.  Sites within these service areas have not yet seen any snow fall but all teams are on standby should the weather change as we are still forecasted to received less than a centimeter of snow into the morning rush hour.  Please check back to this site as it will be updated should service levels change.

* * UPDATE ** As of 5:30am our teams for the Guelph service sites were dispatched to perform a full salt service run of these sites.  Within these areas they have received anywhere from a trace to 1cm of snow fall.  The salt run is being performed with the temperatures hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark which should help combat any slippery areas from arising.  Temperatures are supposed to rise throughout the day on December 9 which will also help any additional flurries we may see.  We have an estimated completion of all sites by 10:30am on December 9.

As of 9:30am our teams in the Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo areas are out spot salting sites.

Paramount Service teams in the Markham started a full salt run as of 3am on December 9, 2020.  This service area has received around 1 to 3cm of snowfall during the early morning hours.  Our service teams are performing this run to help combat any slippery areas that may arise as temperatures are hovering around 0 degrees.  Markham is expected to see flurries into the morning rush hour.

As of 4am service teams within Toronto and Scarborough were dispatched to start a full plow and salt service run.  All sites have received anywhere from 5 to 7cm of snowfall within these cities.  The temperatures are still hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark.  Once all sites have been plowed, our teams will perform the salt service run.  This salt run will help combat any slippery areas that may arise until the temperatures start climbing into the morning of December 9, 2020.  We have an estimated completion of all sites to be fully plowed and salted by 2pm.

Paramount Service teams are monitoring the sites throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Georgetown during the early morning hours of December 9, 2020.  As of 4am service teams in Mississauga North of the 401 all sites are being salted as they have received anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snow.  Brampton and Georgetown are also receiving a full salt service as these cities have received 1 to 2cm of snow.  The temperatures are hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark so this salt run will help combat slippery areas until the temperatures start to rise in the morning.

** UPDATE ** As of 5am on December 9, 2020 all service teams throughout Mississauga North and South of the 401 have been dispatched to start a full salt service run throughout as they have received closer to a centimeter to 2 within these areas.  We have an estimated completion of all sites within these service areas by 9am on December 9, 2020.

Paramount Service teams were dispatched to perform a salt service runs in Oshawa and Ajax as of 4am on December 9, 2020.  These sites have received anywhere from 1 to 2cm of snowfall throughout the early morning hours.  This salt run is being performed as the temperatures are hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark so it will help combat any slippery areas that may arise until the temperatures start to climb during the day.  We have an estimated completion of these sites by 9am on December 9, 2020.
