Weather Monitoring and Servicing Update December 18, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown have been monitoring a weather system that started throughout all regions around 7pm on December 18th, 2023.  All regions have been seeing rain throughout the majority of the day on December 18th and is slowly transitioning to snow around 8pm.  Throughout this time the temperatures are remaining above freezing and start to dip to 0° and below around 10pm.  Throughout the regions we are forecasted to potentially see anywhere from 1-2cm of snowfall.  Our snow management staff have made the decision to start a full salt service run earlier than originally scheduled as of 11pm on December 18, 2023.  This salt run is going to be performed to help combat the snow that is forecasted to fall during this weather episode but also to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the temperature dropping well below freezing sitting around -2 to -3°C.  Our teams will be performing a full salt service run with an estimated completion time of 5am on December 19, 2023.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as well any weather updates.
