Weather and Site Monitoring Update 14, 2024

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown have been monitoring all sites within these regions during the early morning hours of January 14, 2024.  There is a potential for scattered flurries during the early morning with a potential for close to a centimeter.

 

As of 6:30am when a streamer was forecasted to come through, sites were checked and deemed no servicing was required.  Teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.  Please check back to this site for service level updates for all regions as well as weather updates.

** UPDATE – As of 12pm on January 14, 2024 our teams were called in for servicing for Waterdown.  We had received another streamer around 8am and saw a trace of snow.  With temperatures being so cold and well below freezing sitting around -10 we decided to perform a salt service run within Waterdown to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Once again, Burlington, Oakville and Milton were all checked and no further servicing was required.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford have been monitoring all sites within these regions during the early morning hours of January 14, 2024.  There is a potential for scattered flurries during the early morning with a potential for close to a centimeter.

** UPDATE – As of 2pm on January 14, 2024 our teams were patrolling our sites within Brantford.  Our teams were performing a tidy up and spot salt service at the properties.  The salt run performed January 13, 2024 helped combat the streamer that came through earlier in the morning on January 14.  Teams completed tidy ups and spot salted where required.  No servicing was required within Hamilton or Stoney Creek during this episode.  Our teams will continue to monitor sites and the weather throughout the overnight as there is a potential for more scattered flurries by January 15, 2024.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge We are forecasted to see potentially close to 1-3cm of flurries between 5am and 7am within these regions. ** UPDATE – As of 2pm on January 14, 2024 our teams were patrolling our sites within all regions Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.  Our teams withi Guelph and Cambridge performed a tidy up and salt service run.  Our teams within Kitchener and Waterloo have also been out since early afternoon performing tidy ups as well shoveling and salting at all properties.  Within Kitchener, Waterloo these cities saw another 2-4cm throughout the morning hours before our teams came back out to cleanup.  Teams are performing the salt service run with treated salt, with the temperatures being below -7 regular road salt can lose it’s effectiveness.  Our teams will continue to monitor sites and the weather throughout the overnight as there is a potential for more scattered flurries by January 15, 2024.
