Site Servicing November 27, 2023 – Completion & Update

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a full salt service run as of 10pm on November 27, 2023.  All sites received a full salt service run throughout these regions.  Throughout the evening of November 27 and overnight hours of November 28 we saw flurries and was forecasted throughout the overnight and into the day on November 28.  Please note we are dealing with lake effect snow throughout this weather episode which is very unpredictable.  The salt service run was performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the wet snow and high potential for freezing as the temperatures are hovering around the -3 to -5°C depending on the region.  All salt routes were completed within these regions by 5am on November 28, 2023.  Our teams remain on standby should we have to be called back.  We are still facing the threat of Lake Effect snow and possibility of streamers.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as well any weather updates.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge started a full salt service run as of 10pm on November 27, 2023.  All sites will receive a full salt service run throughout these regions.  We have been seeing flurries for the most part of the early evening on November 27 and is forecasted throughout the overnight and into the day on November 28.  Please note that this is lake effect snow that we are seeing which is very unpredictable.  The salt service run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the wet snow and high potential for freezing as the temperatures are hovering around the -3 to -5°C depending on the region.  Our shovel crews started after our plow teams to perform their servicing of all walks as well.  We have an estimated completion of all salt service routes as of 3am on November 28.  Environment Canada has posted a Special Weather Statement regarding possibility of snow squalls throughout these regions with a possibility of 10 – 15cm of snowfall.  Our teams will remain monitoring this weather system and we will change service plans should it be required.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as well any weather updates.

** UPDATE – As of 7am on November 28 our teams within Kitchener and Waterloo were hit by a streamer coming through and received close to 4cm of snowfall.  The teams within these regions started another run with having to plow.  As of 8am our teams are being put onto standby as the streamers keep circling and more snow continues to fall.  Our teams will be back out to service the properties once again with plowing and another salt service run once the snow has stopped.  We anticipate within 2-3 hours but could be longer pending weather.  We will continue to monitor these regions and will update once our teams are back out for another service run.  Thank you for your patience. **
