Site and Weather Monitoring January 18, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown teams have been monitoring the next weather episode that is forecasted to begin around 3am on January 19, 2023 across the GTA. A weather advisory has been posted from Environment Canada for a Freezing Rain Warning. We are expecting to see freezing rain begin around 8am and go for 6 to 8 hours with a chance of flurries throughout this system as well amounting to less than a centimeter of snowfall. Temperatures throughout this weather system are hovering around the 0° to -1° mark and are to slowly rise and change over to rain. Our teams have a tentative plan of starting a salt service run as of 3am on January 19, 2023 to salt all properties throughout these regions to help combat the freezing rain that is anticipated.
