The Paramount Service teams throughout Oshawa and Ajax started a full salt service run of all properties within these regions as of midnight on December 25th, 2022. With the high winds and blowing snow throughout the day on December 24 we are sending all teams out to perform this salt service run to help combat any slippery areas that may form. Temperatures are still well below freezing and sitting around -10 so our teams will be using treated salt on properties. This salt reacts better to the colder temperatures but please note with the temperatures being as low as they are salt can lose it’s effectiveness. We are forecasted to see some scattered flurries throughout the overnight and into Christmas Day so the salt run will also help combat the snow that could fall. Our teams completed this service run as of 5am on December 25. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Fort Erie were attempting to be onsite as of 7am on December 24, to perform a full service salt service run of all properties as of 7am on December 23, 2022. Unfortunately all roads as well highways have been closed all throughout Fort Erie due to the extreme storm they are under. Our teams are remaining home for now until the roads open back up again and become safe for travel. OPP has requested no unnecssary travel during this time. Our teams attempted to get to site this morning but ended up stuck on the highway. This area has received around 10-15cm of snowfall throughout the first leg of this storm and continue to see snow. This is a very large storm to hit Fort Erie and our teams will be working diligently to keep sites clear and safe with repeated visits during this weather episode. Please if you do not have to be on the roads, please do not as the road conditions are blizzard like conditions and can be very dangerous at times.
