Service Completion January 12, 2021 Salt Run

Paramount Service teams within Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown and Milton started getting reports as of 4:00pm that sites were icing up due to the weather episode of freezing drizzle throughout the day of January 12, 2021.  Teams within Waterdown and Carlisle started their runs for 2:30pm as these service regions were hit a little harder.  This system is forecasted to continue throughout these regions until 9pm tonight.  All teams within Burlington, Oakville and Milton  have been dispatched as of 5:30pm to perform a full salt service run.  All sites within these regions were completed by 9:30pm on January 12, 2021.  This salt run was performed to help combat the slippery areas due to the freezing rain and the temperatures remaining below freezing overnight.  No residential properties will be serviced during this episode as we have not hit the 5cm threshold.

Paramount Service teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby were getting reports as of 4pm on January 12, 2021 that sites within these service regions were starting to get slippery due to the freezing rain received throughout the day.  This system is forecasted to continue through to 9pm tonight. As of 4:30pm our teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby will be out performing a salt service run. All sites within these regions were completed by 11pm on January 12, 2021.  This salt run was performed to help combat the slippery areas due to the freezing rain and the temperatures remaining below freezing overnight.

Paramount Service teams in Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Brantford will be monitoring the sites during the afternoon and early evening hours through these service regions of January 12, 2021.  Throughout the day on January 12 we have been seeing some light rain / snow mix throughout.  Sites within Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph have received a fine mist from 10am to around 11am this morning and combined with the lower temperatures some areas went a little icy.  Our teams started between 12pm and 1pm on January 12 to perform a salt run within these service regions due to the temperatures going below freezing overnight and into the morning hours.  Kitchener-Cambridge, Waterloo and Brantford sites were completed by 9pm on January 12, 2021.  Guelph completed their sites by 6pm.  This is to help combat any slippery areas that may further arise.

As of 6:30pm our teams within Toronto, Scarborough and Markham will be out performing a salt service run. All sites within these regions were completed by 1:45am on January 13, 2021.  This salt run was performed to help combat the slippery areas due to the freezing rain and the temperatures remaining below freezing overnight.

All sites within these regions were completed by 10pm in Mississauga and 8pm in Brampton and Georgetown on January 12, 2021.  This salt run was performed to help combat the slippery areas due to the freezing rain and the temperatures remaining below freezing overnight.
