Salt Service Run January 5, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown will be starting a full salt service run as of 2am on January 5, 2023. The sites were monitored during the overnight hours which are all very wet after the heavy rain fall we received during the day on January 4, 2023 and with the temperatures hovering around the 0 – 1° mark a salt service run will be performed to help combat any freezing areas from forming. We are also forecasted to see some flurries during the afternoon of January 5 which this salt service run will help combat any snow that may fall. We have an anticipated completion time of this run by 7am on January 5, 2023. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

Our teams within Kitchener and Waterloo will be starting a salt service run as of 4am on January 5, 2023. Our salt depots unfortunately do not open until 4am of which our teams will be getting salt at that point. We will be performing the salt service run within these regions as we had received a significant amount of rainfall during the day on January 4 and temperatures will be hovering around the 0-1° mark. This service run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas from forming as well combat the scattered flurries we are forecasted to see throughout the day on January 5th. We have an anticipated completion of this run by 9am on January 5, 2023.

As of 1am a salt run will not be completed in this region as the temperatures are around 5° and remain in the plus degrees throughout the day. Our teams will continue to monitor sites within this region as there is a potential for less than a centimeter during the overnight hours of January 5th and into the early morning hours of January 6.
