Salt Service Run Completion January 22nd, 2024 & Weather Monitoring January 23, 2024

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a salt service run of all sites as of 10pm on January 22, 2024.  A system passed through all areas which brought us anywhere from a trace to 1cm of scattered flurries throughout these regions.  The snow began around 2pm and is was finished in all regions as of 10pm on January 22, 2024.  Temperatures remained below freezing around -1° to -2°C during this system.  Our teams began this salt service run as of 10pm on January 22, 2024 and completed all routes as of 2:30am on January 23, 2024.  This salt service run was performed to help combat the flurries that fell throughout this weather system as well help combat the snow that is in the forecast for January 23, 2024.  

Our Snow management teams are also monitoring a potential larger system that is forecasted to take place during the day on Tuesday January 23rd, 2024 leading into the evening hours of a possible 5-10cm snowfall.  We will continue to monitor this weather system and as it progresses we will be making a plan of attack and service levels that are required once we have hit the 5cm threshold of snowfall.   Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
