Salt Service Run and Weather Monitoring January 22, 2024

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown will be starting a salt service run of all sites as of 10pm on January 22, 2024.  There is a system that is passing through all areas which could bring us anywhere from 1-3cm of scattered flurries throughout.  The snow began around 2pm and is anticipated to complete as of 10pm on January 22, 2024.  Temperatures remain below freezing around -1° to -2°C during this system.  Our teams will begin this service run as of 10pm on January 22, 2024 with an anticipated completion of all routes by 3am on January 23, 2024.  This salt service run will be performed to help combat the flurries that are falling throughout this weather system as well help combat the snow that is in the forecast for January 23, 2024.  

Our Snow management teams are also monitoring a potential larger system that is forecasted to take place during the day on Tuesday January 23rd, 2024 leading into the evening hours of a possible 5-10cm snowfall.  We will be watching this system closely and will update this site as we get closer to the event.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
