Winter Storm Watch & Site Servicing January 12, 2024

Snow

On Time

The Paramount Service teams throughout Milton and Waterdown have been monitoring a significant storm that has been forecasted within these regions to begin around 7pm on January 12, 2024 throughout these regions.  Within Waterdown and Milton service regions the snow was fairly heavy so our teams decided to start a full plow service within these regions as of 9pm on January 12, 2024.  Within these regions we saw anywhere from 5-8cm in Waterdown and Milton closer to 10cm of snowfall which began around 7pm, the forecast is calling for mixed precipitation to begin around 10pm.  Sites within Burlington and Oakville are being monitored closely by our snow management staff as these regions have only been seeing wet snow.  Sites within Milton and Waterdown will receive a full plow service and a salt service run will commence.  We have an anticipated completion of plowing within these regions as of  by 2am on January 13, 2024.  Our teams within Burlington and Oakville will be called out once servicing is required.  We will update once this happens with service levels.  Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day on January 13, 2024 so we anticipate a full salt service run throughout all regions before end of morning January 13, 2024.  Please check back to this site for service level updates for all regions as well as weather updates.

** UPDATE – Our teams within Burlington and Oakville have been dispatched as of 2am to perform a full salt service run of these regions and some tidy up due to slushy areas on sites as they saw more mixed precipitation with temperatures above 0° throughout this system reaching 6°.  Please check back to this site for further service level updates and completions of routes and for future weather updates throughout this system.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford have been monitoring a significant storm that has been forecasted within these regions to begin around 7pm on January 12, 2024 throughout these regions.  Within Brantford service region the snow was fairly heavy so our teams decided to start a full plow service within these regions as of 9pm on January 12, 2024.  Within these regions we saw close to 5cm in Brantford, the forecast is calling for mixed precipitation to begin around 10pm.  Sites within Hamilton and Stoney Creek are being monitored closely by our snow management staff as these regions have only been seeing wet snow.  Sites within Brantford will receive a full plow service and a salt service run will commence.  We have an anticipated completion of plowing within these regions as of  by 2am on January 13, 2024.  Our teams within Hamilton and Stoney Creek will be called out once servicing is required.  We will update once this happens with service levels.  Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day on January 13, 2024 so we anticipate a full salt service run throughout all regions before end of morning January 13, 2024.  Please check back to this site for service level updates for all regions as well as weather updates.
