The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge started a full plow service 9pm on January 13, 2024. Within these regions on January 12, 2024 started seeing snowfall around 8pm and received anywhere from 15 – 20cm during this weather episode. Temperatures throughout these regions have remained below freezing sitting around -1 to -2°C. A full salt service run of all properties commenced once plowing was completed. Our teams within Kitchener, Waterloo are also facing a larger snowfall, as of 9am all sites had been fully plowed and a salt run commenced along with a secondary plow to tidy up all properties from snow that fell after initial servicing. Within these regions there is a potential for another 5cm of snowfall during the afternoon of January 13 and into the overnight hours of January 14, 2024. Temperatures are drastically dropping below freezing throughout the day today. All teams remain on standby and our snow management staff will be monitoring all sites throughout the day. We anticipate a salt service run will be required to take place into the evening or overnight hours of January 14, 2024. We have an estimated completion of all sites within Kitchener and Waterloo as of 12pm on January 14, 2024.
