Winter Storm Completion February 24th, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started their plow routes as of 6pm on February 22, 2023.  Within these regions the teams have been facing a mix bag of weather during the afternoon and into the early evening with anywhere from 10-15cm to 20+ cm of snowfall with freezing rain on top which made clearing the snow which became very heavy and slick. The snow and freezing rain finally tapered off around 3am on February 23, 2023.  All sites were plowed two times during this weather episode and our teams started to perform a the first salt service run as of 1pm on.  Our teams completed a full plow run, as well two salt runs of all properties as well cleanup on sites as of 4am on February 24, 2023.  The double salt runs were performed due to the freezing rain that took place during this storm to help combat slippery areas and to break down the freezing rain as well the temperatures during the overnight hours on February 24 were reaching below freezing.  Our teams worked diligently throughout this storm to ensure the safety of our clients which was difficult with the freezing rain on top of the snowfall that came as it made the sites very messy and heavy wet snow.  Our teams were out servicing this storm due to the magnitude for 30+ hours.  The teams were sent home for a mandatory rest period and remain on call should further servicing be required.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
