The Paramount Service teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Grimsby and Brantford have been monitoring the system that is forecasted for these regions. The Weather Network is calling for a ‘mixed bag” of precipitation starting with freezing rain at late evening of February 4th, 2021 which is forecasted to last 2-3 hours. Because of the seriousness that freezing rain poses on the safety of individuals our teams will be performing a pre-salt run at approximately 7pm on February 4th, 2021. This will allow the freezing rain to melt on impact thus providing safe conditions on all sites.
Salt has not been applied at your property for 7 days which leaves very little residual salt on the ground to hold off the freezing rain, thus also prompting this pre-salt. The forecast within Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and Grimsby calling close to 5cm of snowfall and Brantford closer to 6cm during the overnight hours of February 4, 2021 and into the early morning of February 5, 2021. Upon completion of our pre-salt service our teams will continue to monitor your property throughout the night after our salt run and will clear and salt again if necessary.
