The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge started a full service run as of 4pm on February 15, 2024. Within these regions we saw anywhere from 6-7cm of snowfall during the afternoon hours, heavier snow between 1pm and 3pm. As of 4pm, the snow started to taper off to light flurries, during this system we were forecasted to see around 5-10cm of snowfall. Our teams performed a salt service run of all properties within Guelph and Cambridge and in Kitchener, Waterloo these areas required a full plow service followed by a salt service run. There is still a potential to see less than a centimeter of snowfall during the evening and overnight hours of February 15, 2024 temperatures are hovering around -1° with a low of -4° overnight. Our teams completed their full run with plowing and salting by 1am on February 15, 2024. Our snow management teams will continue to monitor this weather system as there are streamers that have been hitting our more northern regions above the 401 corridor and all teams remain on standby should further servicing be required. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
** Please note, due to an incident which took place earlier in the evening within our Kitchener sites the teams were behind by approximately an hour and a half until it was rectified. All sites have been fully serviced as of midnight on February 15, 2024. As of 12:30am our teams within the northern part of Kitchener, Waterloo reported a streamer that came through these areas and another 5cm of snowfall was received. These areas will be serviced for a secondary run.
