Paramount Service teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and Grimsby started a full plow run as of 9am on February 12, 2021. Within the Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby these service areas received anywhere from 30-35cm of snowfall depending on the area within the cities. Heavier amounts of snow accumulation closer to the late. Brantford service areas received around 1cm of snowfall so these sites were serviced with a salt run. This system began around 7am on February 12, 2021 which was lake effect snowfall. The teams performed the salt run with using treated salt due to the temperatures being well below freezing and regular salt would take longer to take effect on the sites. All teams were completed the plowing and salting as of 4pm. Within these regions there are snow squall warnings still in place, all teams were sent home for a rest period but will maintain monitoring the weather and all sites during the overnight and early morning hours of February 13, 2021.
