The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a pre-salt of all properties within these regions as of 9pm on January 8th, 2024.  Our Snow Management Staff decided to do this salt run as the weather forecast is showing many different calculations of potential amounts of snow for this snow storm.  We are ranging anywhere from 5-20cm of snowfall throughout the GTA and this weather episode.  Our teams are performing this pre-salt to help combat the snow that is forecasted to begin around 8am for most regions.  There is a potential for ice build up with the temperatures fluctuating during this system.  When the snow is forecasted to begin around 8am the temperatures are hovering around 0°C with temperatures on the rise and changing to rain in all regions.  Our teams completed their runs as of 2am on January 9, 2024.
