The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge have been monitoring all sites throughout these regions on November 28, 2023. Throughout these service regions we received bursts of snow throughout the afternoon. Our teams were checking sites throughout the day and all sites were all in black top conditions. The temperatures remain still below freezing around -3 to -4°C. We are forecasted to see scattered flurries with a possibility of close to a centimeter of snow. Please note we are dealing with lake effect snow throughout this weather episode which is very unpredictable. The salt service run was performed on November 27 was to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the wet snow and high potential for freezing as the temperatures are hovering around the -3 to -4°C depending on the region. As of Midnight on November 29th all sites were checked again and no servicing is required at this time. Please check back to this site for future service level updates as well any weather updates.
** UPDATE – As of 7am on November 28 our teams within Kitchener and Waterloo were hit by a streamer coming through and received close to 4cm of snowfall. The teams within these regions started another run with having to plow. As of 8am our teams are being put onto standby as the streamers keep circling and more snow continues to fall. Our teams will be back out to service the properties once again with plowing and another salt service run once the snow has stopped. We anticipate within 2-3 hours but could be longer pending weather. We will continue to monitor these regions and will update once our teams are back out for another service run. ** UPDATE – All teams within Kitchener and Waterloo started another route on November 28 as of 1pm to perform a plow and salt servicing depending on the sites. Sites within these regions received anywhere from 4-5cm of snowfall. The salt run that is performed during this time is to once again help combat the snow that has fallen as well potential snow that is in the forecast. We have an estimated completion of these sites as of 2am on November 29, 2023 **
** UPDATE – All teams within Guelph and Cambridge were sent out to perform a salt service run in these regions as of 3pm on November 28. These regions saw anywhere from a dusting of snowfall to a couple of centimeters during the afternoon and into the evening hours. The salt run that is performed during this time is to once again help combat the snow that has fallen as well potential snow that is in the forecast. Our teams completed their salt service run as of midnight on November 29, 2023 **
