The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown teams started a salt service run of all properties as of 11pm on January 27, 2024, our snow management teams were monitoring a weather system in the forecast to begin early hours of January 28th, 2024 around 2am within these regions.  As of 2am on January 28th, 2024 no reports of mixed precipitation but the grounds were still damp and temperatures hovering around freezing, this salt run was performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Around 3:30am on January 28th, 2024 within Environment Canada there was a potential for ice pellets for most regions across the GTA.  Temperatures are hovering around 0° with a potential for mixed precipitation between 7am – 11am.  The forecast has slightly changed within these regions for 1-3mm of rain to 1cm of snowfall.  With the properties being damp from the drizzle that was seen throughout the regions on January 27th our teams are performed this run to help combat any slippery areas from forming.  We also performed this salt service run to help combat the mixed precipitation as well combat the snow which could potentially bring a couple of centimeters of snow.  Our teams completed their salt service run as of 4am on January 28, 2024.  All teams remain on standby as the snow management teams monitor the weather and sites.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
