The Paramount Service teams throughout Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge teams started a full salt service run on all properties within these regions on December 28 at 11pm. These sites had received anywhere from 1-2 cm of snowfall which began around 7pm on December 28 and finished around 1am on December 29. The salt run was performed to help combat the snow that fell to help prevent any slippery areas that formed as well the forecast was calling for a potential period of freezing rain. The temperatures during this weather episode hovered between 0 and 3 degrees depending on the city. All teams completed their routes by 4am on December 29, 2021.
