The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge have been monitoring the forecast and sites within these regions throughout the overnight and early morning hours of February 17, 2024. As of 2am, our teams within Cambridge were called in to complete a full salt service run. We started seeing streamers that pushed through this regions around 1am, our crews have been dispatched as the snow started and began to service this region as we saw anywhere from half a centimeter to a centimeter of snowfall. Sites were serviced with a salt run to help combat the snow that had fallen as well further flurries throughout the day on February 17, 2024. All sites within Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo have been checked and no servicing is required. Our teams remain on standby and will continue to monitor these regions. ** UPDATE – As of 4pm our teams within Guelph were dispatched to perform a salt service run of all sites within this region. Around 3pm we started getting reports of streamers hitting this city, we saw a trace of snow during this time. Our teams were called in to perform this salt service run to help combat the flurries that fell as well to help combat any slippery areas from arising due to the temperatures dropping below freezing. We have an estimated completion of this salt service run as of 8pm on February 17, 2024.
