Paramount Service teams within Guelph started a salt service run as of 9pm on February 5th, 2021. After sites were checked by our teams most sites throughout the regions were slick and potential for freeze due to the temperatures being -10 overnight. With the temperatures this low there is a high potential for freeze and that is the reason for the salt run being performed. While out teams were also taking the opportunity to tidy up some areas throughout parking lots. Sites within Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge will continue to be monitored. With the teams working late into the day on February 5 after the snowfall that was received in these areas upon completion of that run all sites had been salted thoroughly. Teams were completed the routes by 12am on February 6, 2021 in Guelph.
** UPDATE – As of 5am on February 6 our teams within Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge were out checking sites. All sites were in really good condition but our teams performed spot salting within these regions to help with any run off as well drifting snow in parking lots. All teams were completed the site checks and spot salt as of 9am on February 6.
