Site Monitoring & Evening Service Update December 7, 2024

The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown have been monitoring all sites within these regions during the afternoon and evening hours of December 7, 2024.  The was a system that had been lingering over these regions all afternoon on December 7, 2024, with scattered flurries with a chance of close to 2cm of snowfall.  Temperatures remain around the 0°C mark and on the rise throughout the evening hours with a chance of less than a centimeter of snow mixed with light rain and temperatures sitting around 4°C and by tomorrow December 8 temperatures will be sitting around 5° to 6°C.  There is a potential for a salt service run to be performed throughout these regions during the evening hours on December 7 but our teams will continue to monitor all sites and if servicing is required then the teams that are on standby all will be deployed.

** Update – As of 6 pm on December 7 all sites within these regions were checked and deemed no servicing was required at that time, all sites were clear.  We will continue to monitor all sites and will deploy should servicing be required.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge have been monitoring all sites within these regions during the afternoon and evening hours of December 7, 2024.  The was a system that had been lingering over these regions all afternoon on December 7, 2024, with scattered flurries with a chance of close to 2cm of snowfall.  Temperatures remain around the 0°C mark and on the rise throughout the evening hours with a chance of less than a centimeter of snow mixed with light rain and temperatures sitting around 4°C and by tomorrow December 8 temperatures will be sitting around 5° to 6°C.  There is a potential for a salt service run to be performed throughout these regions during the evening hours on December 7 but our teams will continue to monitor all sites and if servicing is required then the teams that are on standby will be deployed.

** Update – As of 5 pm on December 7 all sites within these regions were checked and deemed no servicing was required at that time, all sites were clear.  We will continue to monitor all sites and will deploy should servicing be required.

** Update – As of 7 pm our teams within Guelph were dispatched to perform a salt service run throughout this region as they have seen a trace of snowfall during the afternoon.  This salt service run is being performed to help combat the snow that fell as well to combat any slippery areas that may arise while temperatures are hovering around 0°C.  We have an anticipated completion of this salt service run as of midnight on December 7, 2024.  As of this time, servicing is not required within Kitchener, Waterloo, or Cambridge but our teams remain on standby should the service level requirement change.

** Update – As of 9 pm our teams were deployed within Kitchener, Waterloo as they had received a trace to a centimeter of snowfall during the hours of 7 pm and 9 pm.  This salt service run is being performed to help combat the snow that fell as well as to combat any slippery areas that may arise while temperatures are hovering around 0°C.  We have an anticipated completion of this salt service run as of 1 am on December 8, 2024.  As of 9 pm, our teams within Cambridge have reported that no servicing is required at this time but will remain on standby should further servicing be required.

** Update – As of 9:30 pm our teams within Toronto have seen anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snowfall between the hours of 6 pm and 9 pm.  With the temperatures on the rise, the teams were deployed to perform this salt service run within these sites to help combat the snow that has fallen as well as combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Temperatures are hovering around 1°C and on the rise throughout the overnight and morning hours of December 8, 2024.  We have an anticipated completion time of this service run as of 1:30am on December 8, 2024.

** Update – As of 9:30 pm our teams within Georgetown deployed to perform a salt service run of sites within this region.  The teams are reporting that within this region they have received anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snowfall between the hours of 7pm and 9 pm.  Our teams will be performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that has fallen as well to help combat any slippery areas that may arise as the temperatures are hovering around 0°C with mixed precipitation and on the rise.  We have an anticipated completion of this service run as of 1:30 am.
