The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown performed a full salt service run of all properties as of 2 am on December 4, 2024.  This salt run was performed to help combat snow that is in the forecast for the day and evening hours of December 4, 2024.  Throughout these regions, there is a potential for anywhere from 2 to 3cm of snowfall forecasted as Scattered Flurries throughout the early morning, and continuing in the evening of December 4, 2024, we could see a mix between an Alberta Clipper and Lake Effect Snow.  Properties within the higher elevations could potentially see more accumulation.  Temperatures are forecasted to be around 0° and going to 2°C during this weather episode with a chance for mixed precipitation early evening.  Our teams completed their salt service run as of 6 am on December 4, 2024.  We will continue to monitor this weather system that is forecasted across the GTA and will continue to monitor the sites as well.  Our teams were sent home for a rest period and our snow management team will continue to monitor.  This site will be updated with service-level information as the day goes on.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham will be monitoring the weather episode in the forecast for December 4 starting early in the morning throughout these regions beginning around 4 am on December 4, 2024.  Throughout these regions, there is a potential for anywhere from 2 to 4cm of snowfall forecasted as Scattered Flurries throughout the early morning, and continuing in the evening of December 4, 2024, we could see a mix between an Alberta Clipper and Lake Effect Snow.  Properties within the higher elevations could potentially see more accumulation.  Temperatures are forecasted to be around -2° and going to 0°C during this weather episode.  Our teams will be starting a salt service run as of 2 am on December 4, 2024, in preparation for combating the snow that is falling as well to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  We have an estimated completion time of all runs by 8:30 am due to morning traffic on December 4, 2024.
