Site and Weather Monitoring January 18 and January 19, 2024 ** UPDATE **

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford will be monitoring a potential weather system that is in the forecast to begin around 7am on January 18 and go until 3pm.  There is a chance to see 1-3cm of scattered flurries during this time which could lead to a Salt Service run of all properties.  Our Snow Management teams will be monitoring this potential system as well sites and will make a decision regarding service levels.  Temperatures remain below freezing and sitting around -7°C but are forecasted to start to climb and by early afternoon we will be sitting around -4°C.  Our snow management staff will be monitoring this weather system and sites during the overnight hours and we will update as service levels may be required. ** UPDATE – No servicing was required within Brantford or Stoney Creek during the day on January 18 or into the overnight hours of January 19, 2024.  Some sites within Hamilton Mountain and Ancaster saw a streamer come through mid afternoon, our teams were out checking sites and deemed a salt service run was required.  Teams required sites as required.  Teams remain on standby should weather change. **

** UPDATE – Teams continued to monitor all sites throughout the evening and overnight hours.  Sites within Kitchener and Waterloo received a salt service run during the early evening hours due to some scattered flurries and with temperatures still well below freezing this run was performed to help prevent slippery areas.  Sites within Cambridge were monitored throughout and no servicing was required. **
