Service Update for Christmas Day Storm 2020

Paramount Service teams will be out throughout the early morning hours of December 25, 2020 in the Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby service areas. Our teams will be performing a full plow and salt run as most sites have received anywhere from 2 to 4 cm of snowfall throughout. Our teams within these service areas will be starting their routes as of 2am on December 25, 2020. All teams started their routes as of 2am on December 25, 2020. We have an estimated completion of all routes by 10 am on December 25 with salt run commencing.

Brantford will be performing a full plow and salt run as of 5am on Christmas Morning. Teams in Guelph started as of 2am on December 25, 2020.

** UPDATE – our teams within Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge started servicing all sites with performing a salt run as of 10:45pm on December 24, 2020. These sites have received around 2cm of snowfall and the snow was tapering off. This salt run is to help combat further snow from forming as we are expected to receive more snow throughout the overnight and early morning hours of December 25th, 2020. Our teams will be performing a full plow and salt run as most sites have received anywhere from 2 to 4 cm of snowfall throughout. Teams will be starting their routes as of 2am in the Toronto, Scarborough areas and Markham, Richmond Hill be starting for 5am.

The storm will be transitioning from rain to snow this afternoon across the regions. Snow becoming heavy this evening and over night tapering off to lake effect snow throughout the day tomorrow. As of right now it looks like our teams will be starting around midnight tonight for a full plow and salt tomorrow morning. We will than monitor the lake effect snow throughout the day tomorrow and be back out in the evening to service again. Snowfall totals could reach 15-20 cm across the GTA regions. There will be sitting water and puddles that can freeze over during the evening under the snow so please be careful if entering or leaving the property. Check back throughout the day for updates.
