The Paramount Service teams throughout Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge will be starting a full salt service run of all properties within these regions as of midnight on December 25th, 2022. With the high winds and blowing snow throughout the day on December 24 we are sending all teams out to perform this salt service run to help combat any slippery areas that may form. Temperatures are still well below freezing and sitting around -10 so our teams will be using treated salt on properties. This salt reacts better to the colder temperatures but please note with the temperatures being as low as they are salt can lose it’s effectiveness. We are forecasted to see some scattered flurries throughout the overnight and into Christmas Day so the salt run will also help combat the snow that could fall. We have an estimated completion time of this salt service run as of 4am on December 25. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
Guelph service regions received a salt run of all properties during the afternoon and into the early evening. The salt run was performed to help combat the blowing snow that was taking place throughout the majority of the day. This salt run will also help combat the snow that is in the forecast to happen over the evening of Christmas Eve and into the morning of Christmas. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
