The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge will be starting a full service run of all properties as of 7pm on December 23, 2022. Throughout the afternoon within these regions we had been seeing blizzard like conditions, most areas have seen a centimeter to a centimeter and a half of snow fall but the blowing snow is the issue. We are forecasted to see another 2-4cm throughout the overnight hours of December 23 into the 24th. Please be aware our shovel crew teams are going to be facing extreme cold temperatures during this weather episode. With the extreme cold temperatures our shovel crews may deteriorate quickly. We will be monitoring our staff and if we have to call it for them we will do so and send them back out tomorrow. Temperatures are ranging anywhere from -10 to -15°C during this weather system. At this time we are anticipating a full plow run followed by a salt service run. We have anticipated completion of our plowing service around 3am and the salt run will commence right after that which generally takes 5 hours to complete. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
