Salt Service Run & Weather Monitoring February 29, 2024 ** Update

On Time

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown will be monitoring the weather and sites throughout the evening of February 28 and into the morning of February 29, 2024.  Throughout the afternoon on February 28 were seeing some flurries with high winds.  Sites have been monitored throughout the day and no servicing was required.  Temperatures dropped drastically throughout the day starting at 14°C and by mid-afternoon went to -3°C.  Our teams have all been put on standby throughout all regions as there is a chance for less than a centimeter of snow between the hours of 1am until 5am with temperatures sitting around -4°.  Our snow management teams will continue to monitor the sites and weather as the night goes on.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – As of 5am on February 29, 2024 within Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown some areas were seeing some snow squalls which has left a trace to a centimeter of snow.  Our teams are out currently checking all sites, our management staff will salt where required within these regions as not all sites will require servicing.  Temperatures are remaining around -5° until 9am and starting to warm up to -2° by the afternoon on February 29, 2024.  Servicing will be done as required throughout these regions as we are forecasted to see less than a centimeter of snowfall until 6am.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford will be monitoring the weather and sites throughout the evening of February 28 and into the morning of February 29, 2024.  Throughout the afternoon on February 28 were seeing some flurries with high winds.  Sites have been monitored throughout the day and no servicing was required.  Temperatures dropped drastically throughout the day starting at 14°C and by mid-afternoon went to -3°C.  Our teams have all been put on standby throughout all regions as there is a chance for a possible centimeter of snow between the hours of 11pm until 6am with temperatures sitting around -5°.  Our snow management teams will continue to monitor the sites and weather as the night goes on.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – As of 11pm on February 28, 2024 our teams within Brantford reported that there was a trace to a centimeter of snow that was blowing around on properties within this city.  Our teams were called out to perform a salt service run to help combat the snow that fell as well future snow as we are forecasted to see a possible less than a centimeter of snowfall into the early morning.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge will be monitoring the weather and sites throughout the evening of February 28 and into the morning of February 29, 2024.  Throughout the afternoon on February 28 were seeing some flurries with high winds.  Sites have been monitored throughout the day and no servicing was required.  Temperatures dropped drastically throughout the day starting at 14°C and by mid-afternoon went to -3°C.  Our teams have all been put on standby throughout all regions as there is a chance for a possible centimeter of snow between the hours of 12am until 5am with temperatures sitting around -5°.  Our snow management teams will continue to monitor the sites and weather as the night goes on.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – As of 6pm on February 28, 2024 our teams within Cambridge started to perform a salt service run.  With temperatures hovering around -5° and within this region they had received more of the snow squalls throughout the afternoon a salt service run was deemed necessary.  Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that has fallen as well to combat any further flurries that may fall as we are expecting a possible centimeter of snowfall through the hours of 12am until 5am on February 29, 2024.  

** UPDATE – As of 9pm on February 28, 2024 our teams within Kitchener and Waterloo have started to perform a salt service run.  Within these cities they have seen anywhere from a trace to 1cm of snowfall.  With temperatures hovering around -8° and these cities received more snow squalls throughout this evening a salt run has been deemed necessary.  Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that has fallen as well to combat any further flurries that may fall as we are expecting to see less than a centimeter of snow between 10pm and 5pm. 

** UPDATE – As of 5am on February 29, 2024 all sites within Guelph were checked and at this time no servicing was required.  All teams remain on standby and will be called out should servicing be required.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Oshawa and Ajax will be monitoring the weather and sites throughout the evening of February 28 and into the morning of February 29, 2024.  Throughout the afternoon on February 28 were seeing some flurries with high winds.  Sites have been monitored throughout the day and no servicing was required.  Temperatures dropped drastically throughout the day starting at 14°C and by mid-afternoon went to -3°C.  Our teams have all been put on standby throughout all regions as there is a chance for a possible 1-3cm of snow between the hours of 9pm until 11am February 29 with temperatures sitting around -7°.  Our snow management teams will continue to monitor the sites and weather as the night goes on.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
