The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge will be monitoring the weather and sites throughout the evening of February 28 and into the morning of February 29, 2024. Throughout the afternoon on February 28 were seeing some flurries with high winds. Sites have been monitored throughout the day and no servicing was required. Temperatures dropped drastically throughout the day starting at 14°C and by mid-afternoon went to -3°C. Our teams have all been put on standby throughout all regions as there is a chance for a possible centimeter of snow between the hours of 12am until 5am with temperatures sitting around -5°. Our snow management teams will continue to monitor the sites and weather as the night goes on. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
** UPDATE – As of 6pm on February 28, 2024 our teams within Cambridge started to perform a salt service run. With temperatures hovering around -5° and within this region they had received more of the snow squalls throughout the afternoon a salt service run was deemed necessary. Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that has fallen as well to combat any further flurries that may fall as we are expecting a possible centimeter of snowfall through the hours of 12am until 5am on February 29, 2024.
