Salt Service Run Update January 2, 2021

Paramount Service teams within Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown and Milton were monitoring and servicing sites throughout the service region as of 11pm on January 1, 2021. All teams started their salt service run within these regions as of 2am on January 2, 2021 as there was heavy rain that came through these areas and most sites had brown down with some ice and slush areas. As of 3am North Regions above Britannia Rd the rain had changed to snow and a couple of centimeters of snow dropped. North Flamborough, Milton, Guelph and Brampton so depending on the sites they were plowed and salted. This salt run is to help prevent any slippery areas from forming with the temperatures hovering around 0. We are on track to be completed all sites within these regions by 8am on January 2nd, 2021.

Paramount Service teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby were monitoring all sites within these service regions as of 11pm. All teams started their runs as of 2am on January 2, 2021 to perform a salt service run. Some sites required to be plowed and salted others were just salted within Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Grimsby. Around 1am on January 2nd, 2021 we were seeing some heavy rain throughout these service regions and some sites has broken down ice and slush. We are on track to be fully serviced these regions by 8am on January 2, 2021.

Paramount Service teams within Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Brantford were monitoring and servicing areas within these regions starting 11pm on January 1 , 2021. Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and Brantford a plow and salt run as these areas received anywhere from 1 – 2cm of snow and Guelph a little more with 5cm. Service teams in Guelph started as of 2am on January 2nd, 2021 to perform the same service, plow where needed and salt each site. As of 3am North Regions above Britannia Rd the rain had changed to snow and a couple of centimeters of snow dropped. North Flamborough, Milton, Guelph and Brampton so depending on the sites they were plowed and salted. We are on track for completion by 8am on January 2, 2021.

As of 1am there was heavy rain that came through these service areas and North of the 401 received around 1cm of slush and ice. Some sites received a plow and salt whereas others was just a salt run, some sites the rain had broken down the ice but made it frozen and slippery so this salt run is performed to help combat the slippery areas that formed. Temperatures are hovering around the 0 to 1 degree mark in these service regions and we are on track to be completed all sites by 8am on January 2nd, 2021.
