Paramount Service teams within Guelph started a salt service run as of 8am in all regions on February 7th, 2021. These regions are have received around 1cm of scattered flurries that began around 5am on Sunday morning and continuing until 8am. With the temperatures being well below freezing over night around -8 to -9 there is a potential for freeze so this salt run is being performed to help prevent any slippery areas from arising. We have an estimated completion of all routes within these regions by 1pm on February 7, 2021.
Paramount Service teams within Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge will be starting a salt service run as of 11pm on February 6, 2021. These teams will be seeing around 1cm of scattered flurries as well during the overnight and early morning hours. The teams will be starting earlier as within these regions the temperatures will be going down below -10 and have seen some scattered flurries throughout the day on February 6, 2021. With more flurries coming this salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise. Teams completed their runs as of 4am on February 7.
