The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Brantford will be starting a full salt service run as of 1am on February 14th, 2022 of all regions. Throughout the early afternoon and evening these areas received some flurries that were not forecasted and that continued, these areas have received around a centimeter of snowfall. This salt run is being performed to help combat the snow that has fallen, please note the temperatures are well below freezing and sitting around -12° and going to get colder during the overnight hours. Salt loses it’s effectiveness past -7° so it may take a little longer for the salt to react. We have an anticipated completion of this salt run by 6am on February 14th, 2022.
