The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a full salt service run as of 1am on February 14th, 2022 of all regions. Throughout the early afternoon and evening these areas received some light snow that were not forecasted and that continued, these areas have received around a centimeter of snowfall. Any regions that have received over 3cm of snowfall during this episode will be receiving a plow run along with a salt run. This salt run is being performed to help combat the snow that has fallen, please note the temperatures are well below freezing and sitting around -12° and going to get colder during the overnight hours. Salt loses it’s effectiveness past -7° so it may take a little longer for the salt to react.
