Throughout the day, Carlisle and Freelton experienced light flurries resulting in snowfall accumulations ranging from a trace up to approximately 1 cm. A salt service run was required to help combat the snow that had fallen and to reduce the risk of slippery conditions. Additional scattered flurries are forecasted throughout the evening and overnight hours of January 1 into January 2, prompting proactive service. Our teams completed a salt service run, which began approximately 11 pm on January 1 and ended by 4 am on January 2nd. Sites were checked within Milton to ensure all properties were safe, and some areas of Milton required salting to help combat the snow that fell, as well as to prevent any slippery areas that may arise.
Teams remain on standby should further servicing be required
