Temperatures during this event ranged between 0°C and 2°C. Some areas, including Milton, received higher snowfall accumulation (approximately 5 cm), requiring a full plow service.
A salt service run was performed across the GTA to help combat freezing rain and reduce the risk of slippery conditions during and following the event.
ROUTE DEPLOYMENT UPDATE:
Teams deployed across the GTA beginning at 11:00 PM to perform salt services, with service levels adjusted regionally based on observed site conditions.
FORECAST & CONDITIONS:
Temperatures are forecasted to rise beginning January 7, reaching positive temperatures across most regions (approximately +6°C) with rain expected. Rising temperatures will assist in improving surface conditions.
STATUS:
