Snowfall occurred during the evening hours of January 16, with accumulations ranging from approximately 1 to 3 cm depending on region. A salt service run was required to help combat the snow that had fallen, as well as any additional snowfall forecasted throughout the day on January 17.
All Snow Management teams began their routes at 12:00 AM to perform a full salt service run across the GTA. While on site, teams were also instructed to complete a tidy-up of all properties to address residual snow and cleanup from the significant storm event on January 15. Due to the additional cleanup required, service completion extended beyond the anticipated 5:00 AM completion time.
All salt service routes and site tidy-up services were completed by approximately 6:30 AM on January 17, 2026.
