On Time

Paramount Snow Management teams began a full salt service run across the GTA as of 12:00 AM on February 14, 2026, following snowfall during the evening hours of February 13, 2026.  Across the GTA, regions received anywhere from a light dusting up to approximately 2 cm of snowfall. Due to below-freezing temperatures overnight, teams were called in to begin salting to help combat the snow that had fallen and to reduce the risk of slippery conditions forming.  Temperatures remained below freezing during the service run, requiring diligent monitoring and application. Conditions improved throughout the day on February 14, with temperatures rising to approximately +3°C to +4°C across most regions.  All teams completed their salt service runs as of approximately 5:30 AM on February 14, 2026.

Salt Supply Update

Southern Ontario continues to experience a province-wide salt shortage due to increased winter demand and ongoing supply chain disruptions, with municipalities being prioritized. As a result, salt availability for private contractors remains limited. Paramount Landscaping Inc. continues to secure materials as they become available and deploy services strategically to prioritize safety. In some cases, service timing and application levels may be adjusted to ensure the most effective and responsible use of available materials.

Teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.
