Light Snow
On Time
Paramount Snow Management teams have been monitoring a weather system throughout the GTA on February 11, 2026. Across the GTA, scattered flurries were observed for most of the day; however, no significant accumulation developed in most regions. Teams continue to monitor all properties overnight as light flurries remain possible.
Burlington, Oakville, Milton & Waterdown
Temperatures are below freezing, sitting around –3°C, with a forecasted low of –5°C into the morning hours. Less than 1 cm of snowfall is possible until approximately 1:00 AM on February 12.
All sites have been checked and no servicing is required as of 11:00 PM on February 11. Teams will continue to monitor should conditions change.
Temperature & Salt Effectiveness Reminder
Please note that at temperatures below –7°C, standard white salt begins to lose effectiveness, which may impact how quickly treated surfaces respond. Salt applications are completed strategically based on observed conditions and safety requirements.
Salt Supply Update
Southern Ontario continues to experience a province-wide salt shortage due to increased winter demand and supply chain disruptions, with municipalities being prioritized. As a result, salt availability for private contractors remains limited. Paramount Landscaping Inc. continues to secure materials as they become available and deploy services strategically to prioritize safety. In some cases, service timing and application levels may be adjusted to ensure the most effective and responsible use of available materials.
All teams remain on standby should weather conditions change across the GTA.

Light Snow
On Time
Paramount Snow Management teams completed a full salt service run across the GTA during the early morning hours of February 10, 2026, following a weather system that began in most regions around 3:00 AM. Forecasts were calling for approximately 1–2 cm of snowfall, with higher accumulations north of the 401 corridor (including Oshawa, Ajax, and Scarborough) where totals reached 2–4 cm, and in some areas higher due to blowing snow. Temperatures at the start of the service run were well below freezing, and salt service was performed to help combat the snow that fell and to reduce the risk of slippery conditions forming as temperatures remained cold.
