Temperatures during this weather system hover around 0 and 1°C, with temperatures rising during the day. The weather system passed through our areas later than anticipated which began around 6 am on February 27. Within these regions, we had seen anywhere from a dusting to 2 cm of snowfall. Our teams started a full salt service run of properties throughout these regions at 10 am to help combat the snow that fell as well as any wet areas that were on sites where snow was not present. Our teams performed this salt service run to also help combat the next weather system that is forecasted to begin around noon on February 28, 2025. All routes were completed as of 2 pm on February 27, 2025. Due to the salt shortage and some concerns about the frequency of salting this season, we will only salt runoff areas upon request. However, we will still be salting precipitation events as per the contract. Please check back to this site for future service level updates for the next upcoming weather episode on February 28, 2025.
