The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown were monitoring a weather system that was forecasted to begin in these regions as of 1 am on February 27, 2025. Throughout this weather episode, we are forecasted to see mixed precipitation, and potential freezing rain, along with a potential less than a centimeter of snowfall from 1 am until 10 am on February 27, 2025. Temperatures during this weather system hover around 0 and 1°C, with temperatures on the rise during the day. The weather system passed through our areas later than anticipated which began around 6 am on February 27. Within these regions, we had seen anywhere from a dusting to 2 cm of snowfall. Our teams started a full salt service run of properties throughout these regions at 10 am to help combat the snow that fell as well as any wet areas that were on sites where snow was not present. Our teams performed this salt service run to also help combat the next weather system that is forecasted to begin around 12 pm on February 28, 2025. We have an anticipated completion time of 2 pm. Due to the salt shortage and some concerns about the frequency of salting this season, we will only salt runoff areas upon request. However, we will still be salting precipitation events as per the contract. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
