The Paramount Service teams throughout Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham started a full-service run as of 10 pm. All teams started with a plow service run as all regions in the Southern parts of the GTA have reported anywhere from 10 to 15 cm of snow that began around dinner time on February 8, 2025. Throughout the GTA we are forecasted to see close to 10 cm of snow and region-dependent 15 cm. Some areas closer to the lake could see closer to 20 cm of snow by the time this system has passed through. Witihin these regions Toronto, Scarborough and Markham we are receiving reports of anywhere from 5 to 10 cm of snowfall thus far. Our goal is to have all sites serviced with the full plow service by morning hours and then we will get into salt service right after. Please note, that during this storm, there is a chance for blowing and drifting snow during so if you have to be on the road please be careful and take your time as the road conditions may be difficult to travel on. This winter storm is forecasted to began in the early evening of February 8 and continue into the early morning hours of February 9, 2025, with forecasted to begin to taper off around 1 am on February 9, 2025. Our teams will work diligently to have all sites cleared by morning but please keep in mind some road conditions may make the travel a little slower. We have an estimated completion of full plow service as of 6 am on February 9, 2025, with a salt run to commence right after. We will continue to track and monitor this system, please check this site for service-level updates.
** UPDATE – As of 2 am our teams within Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham have advised that they have had mechanical issues with plows. These teams will be delayed by 2 hours for completion of the plow service.
