The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown started a salt service run as of 11 am on January 31, 2025.  All teams were called as of 9:30 am to begin their salt service due to reports of sites being slippery due to the freezing rain that began around 8 am this morning across the GTA.  All teams performed a salt service run of all properties all teams were called in for 10 am on January 31 as we had been receiving reports of slippery areas due to freezing rain across all regions of the GTA which began around 9 am.  Even with the residual salt and temperatures hovering around 0°C sites were getting slick.  Our teams serviced the priority sites first such as nursing homes, and medical centers, and then will service the condominiums and commercial properties.  Originally the forecast was calling for less than a centimeter of snowfall to begin around 4 pm on January 31, 2025, but the forecast has now changed.  Some reports are stating anywhere from 1 to 3 centimeters of snow to upwards of 7 to 12 cm of snow.  Our snow management teams are monitoring this system that is coming through all areas.  We anticipate another service run this evening and will update this site as we watch the weather more.  All teams completed their salt service run by 3 pm on January 31, 2025.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our snow management teams continue to track this next weather episode.

The Paramount Service teams within Mississauga, Brampton, and Georgetown all teams were called in for 10 am on January 31 as we had been receiving reports of slippery areas due to freezing rain across all regions of the GTA which began around 9 am.  Even with the residual salt and temperatures hovering around 0°C sites were getting slick.  Our teams are servicing the priority sites first such as nursing homes, and medical centers, and then will service the condominiums and commercial properties.  We are forecasted to see less than a centimeter of snowfall throughout the day starting 1pm and ending around 4pm throughout all regions before changing over to mixed precipitation.  We have an estimated completion of all sites as of 3 pm on January 31, 2025.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our snow management teams continue to track this next weather episode.
