All teams performed a salt service run of all properties all teams were called in for 10 am on January 31 as we had been receiving reports of slippery areas due to freezing rain across all regions of the GTA which began around 9 am. Even with the residual salt and temperatures hovering around 0°C sites were getting slick. Our teams serviced the priority sites first such as nursing homes, and medical centers, and then will service the condominiums and commercial properties. Originally the forecast was calling for less than a centimeter of snowfall to begin around 4 pm on January 31, 2025, but the forecast has now changed. Some reports are stating anywhere from 1 to 3 centimeters of snow to upwards of 7 to 12 cm of snow. Our snow management teams are monitoring this system that is coming through all areas. We anticipate another service run this evening and will update this site as we watch the weather more. All teams completed their salt service run by 3 pm on January 31, 2025.
