The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown as of 6 am have seen a band of snow that came through.  Most sites within these regions may have seen half a centimeter of snow and there is potential for another centimeter this afternoon.  We anticipate a salt service run will be required to take place this afternoon.  Our teams have been put on standby and will deploy when required.  Our snow management teams are monitoring this system and will continue to check sites.  Temperatures throughout today and this afternoon are hovering around freezing and are forecasted to dip below freezing around noon on January 29, 2025.  Our snow management staff will continue to monitor the weather and this system.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our snow management teams continue to track this next weather episode.

The Paramount Service teams throughout London and Woodstock started a full salt service run as of 10 pm on January 28, 2025.  Within these regions, we received anywhere from a trace to 2 cm of snowfall that began in the late afternoon hours of January 29, 2025, and began to taper off around 10 pm.  There is a potential for less than a centimeter of snowfall during the morning hours.  We do not at this time anticipate another service run but our teams remain on standby.  Our teams performed this salt service run to combat the snow that had fallen and to help combat the snow that continued throughout the morning in the forecast.  Salt service runs also help combat slippery areas that may arise while temperatures are below freezing.  Temperatures throughout this weather episode were hovering around -2°C with a high of 1°C by 6 am on January 29, 2025.  Our teams within these regions completed this service run as of 2 am on January 29, 2025.  Our snow management staff will continue to monitor the weather for any changes.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our snow management teams continue to track this next weather episode.
