Site Servicing and Weather Monitoring December 15, 2024 ** UPDATE **

The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown are monitoring a weather system that is passing through all regions across the GTA during the afternoon on December 15, 2024. Throughout all regions, we are seeing some light rain with the potential for mixed precipitation, including freezing rain. Temperatures are forecasted to remain above freezing sitting around 2°C and rising overnight to 3°C.  We are forecasted to see some light rain until 9 pm with temperatures in the +° temperatures.  We don’t anticipate any service required throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown but all teams are on standby and our snow management teams are monitoring this system and sites.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** Update – As of 6:30 pm our teams within Milton and Waterdown have been deployed to perform a full salt service run within these regions.  We received reports that within these regions they had seen anywhere from a trace to 1.5 cm of snowfall during the afternoon hours of December 15, 2024.  Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that has fallen as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Temperatures are still forecasted to be above freezing sitting at 1°C and on the rise with a high of 4°C by early morning with mixed precipitation changing to rain by 11 pm on December 15, 2024.  We have an anticipated completion of this service run as of 11 pm on December 15, 2024.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and Brantford are monitoring a weather system that is passing through all regions across the GTA during the afternoon on December 15, 2024. Throughout all regions, we are seeing some light rain with the potential for mixed precipitation, including freezing rain and some scattered flurries with a chance of less than a centimeter of snowfall. Temperatures are forecasted to remain above freezing sitting around 1°C and rising overnight to 3°C.  We are forecasted to see some light rain until 7 pm with temperatures in the +° temperatures.  We don’t anticipate any service required throughout Hamilton, Stoney Creek, or Brantford but all teams are on standby and our snow management teams are monitoring this system and sites.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

Throughout all regions, we are seeing some scattered flurries which are forecasted to remain until around 7 pm on December 15, 2024. Temperatures are sitting just below freezing sitting around -1°C and forecasted to rise overnight to 3°C.  There is a potential for a salt service run throughout the afternoon and evening hours of December 15, 2024.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our teams continue to monitor this system and the sites.

Throughout all regions, we are seeing some mixed precipitation.  Temperatures are forecasted to remain above freezing sitting around 2°C and rising overnight to 3°C.  We are forecasted to see some mixed precipitation until 7 pm with temperatures in the +° temperatures and a chance for less than a centimeter.  We don’t anticipate any service required throughout Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham but all teams are on standby and our snow management teams are monitoring this system and sites.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

Throughout all regions, we are seeing some wet snow with a chance of mixed precipitation and a chance of less than a centimeter of snowfall. Temperatures are forecasted to remain above freezing sitting around 2°C and rising overnight to 3°C.  We are forecasted to see some light rain until 8 pm with temperatures in the +° temperatures.  We don’t anticipate any service required throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Georgetown but all teams are on standby and our snow management teams are monitoring this system and sites.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – As of 6:30 pm our teams within Georgetown have reported that this region has seen anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snowfall during the afternoon on December 15, 2024.  Our teams were deployed to perform a salt service run within Georgetown to help combat the snow that has fallen as well as to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  We have an anticipated completion of this run within this region as of 9 pm on December 15, 2024.  Within Mississauga and Brampton no servicing is required at this time.  Reports that have been given by teams are that the sites are wet with no slippery areas and no accumulation of snowfall during this event.  With temperatures remaining above 0°C and on the rise to 3°C by the morning of December 16, 2024.  Our teams remain on standby and should servicing be required they will be deployed.  Sites within Mississauga and Brampton will continue to be monitored during this weather episode.
