Snow began closer to 7:00 AM, later than the originally forecasted start time of 5:00 AM. Updated forecasts indicated 1–3 cm of snowfall across most regions of the GTA. Temperatures across the GTA remain below freezing, generally sitting around –2°C to –3°C, with temperatures expected to gradually rise later in the afternoon and move above freezing.
Due to the snowfall and sub-zero temperatures, all teams across the GTA began a full salt service run at 8:00 AM to help combat the snow that has fallen and reduce the risk of slippery conditions.
