Snow management teams have been monitoring a weather system that moved across the GTA during the morning hours of March 13, 2026. Initial reports indicated flurries beginning around 8:00 AM, with snowfall beginning across most regions closer to 10:15 AM.
Most regions across the GTA have received 1–2 cm of snowfall, while more northern regions — including Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Oshawa, Ajax, London, and Woodstock — are forecasted to receive higher snowfall amounts throughout the afternoon, with some areas potentially seeing 5–10 cm of snowfall.
Temperatures across most regions were below freezing early in the day around –3°C to –4°C, but have since risen and are currently hovering around 0°C, with forecasts showing temperatures rising above freezing this afternoon. During this time, precipitation is expected to transition from snow to rain or mixed precipitation.
As a result, snow management teams have begun deploying services across multiple regions to help combat the snow that has fallen and reduce the risk of slippery conditions.

Teams within Oshawa, Ajax, London, Woodstock, and the Guelph–Kitchener–Waterloo–Cambridge regions have been scheduled for later deployment due to the higher snowfall totals expected throughout these areas.
